Unit was relatively easy to set up. Some instructions that came with unit were incomplete but I was able to get more info from the Pion website. Only negative is that some time-stamps on notifications are wrong and the overlaps from one day to another are confusing, ie. if you set to charge from 11:00pm to 6:00am the next day, you will receive 4 notifications due to change over from one to the next.

I have been using PION POWER Flex-AC Smart EV Charger, 40A NEMA 14-50 & NEMA 5-15 Level 1 & Level 2 WiFi Enabled EVSE, 100-250V, CSA&UL Certified, Indoor/Outdoor, 22FT Cable for over a year, pretty happy with the portable feature, and ability to use 120 and 240 outlets. The carrying case makes it easy to pack and carry on the trips. The app is good too, I can initiate charging using the app, and charging percentage.

The Flex-AC LE EV Charger 40 A is a robust product. It comes with the WiFi wireless control app which allow to program the charging session as far as Amp limit and charge schedule.
The unit is weather proof. But on top of all it is flexible from a voltage point of view. It allows Type 1 and Type 2 charging capabilities.
I highly recommand this EV charger.

I have used this at locations that do not have a charging stations. 110V or 250V and car recognizes device and starts charging automatically. great for overnight charging. I have 77KW battery so ~7 hours or less to charge at 40 Amp/ 250V depending on starting point.

I have been using the Pion Power Flex-AC charger for about a year now. At first, I thought it was a bit iffy as my charger took about 60-90 seconds before it would commence charging. I thought nothing of it, but then after a couple of months the charging cable started to actually loosen and I had to request a warranty reteurn.
Pion power was really responsive and immediately sent me a label to return the charger and even sent me a new one in return as I told them I had no way of charging without one. The new one arrived promptly and then I returned the old one. The new one works like a charm! Turns out I just had a faulty charger. No issues currently with the new one. I charge underground, so I cannot speak on the software aspect of the charger because I have no connection but the plug and charge works great. Great charger for the pricepoint!

This EVSE needed a firmware update for me before it operated correctly as I expected. The EVSE was not starting a charge when the vehicle preferred charge time began. Support was very helpful in getting me a firmware update that corrected the issue. It has been working flawlessly ever since.

We’ve had the Pion Level 2 Flex-AC Charger 40A portable charger for just over 5 months and are very pleased with it. It has a solid construction and is very fast charging compared to the Level 1 charger that came with our vehicle. The Pion has been reliable for us so far. This charger comes with a very long cable, so we installed it inside our garage close to the garage door so that we can charge our vehicle while parked inside the garage or if we park outside in front of the garage or to the side on the double driveway. The App requires improvement.
